October Fest, Wineries , food and more !!

We have entered a new season , so lets switch up and something different. Embrace the new weather pattern , take walks , long drives to watch the leaves change color. Traveling does not only mean flying to another town or country, you travel right where you are. Saturday mornings are great for country rides. Ec will be taking you this season and through out the holidays , to some wineries and other fun local activities.

How about you check  out wineries in your local community and go plan a picnic , a small group birthday party , anniversary or any celebration that you want. Great idea for dates

If in Maryland , here are two great suggestions that I have personally experienced.

DeJon Vineyards in Hydes MD is family owned and operated .

Has a spacious indoor space as well as lots of outdoor space with life music on certain days.

Here you can bring your own cheese , crackers, water, grapes and other snacks as needed, They also have some sell. Their wine selection is great and the customer service is just splendid. You can call ahead for hours of operation and entrainment schedule.

Catoctin breeze vineyards in Thurmont Maryland is another favorite of mine. they produce small lots of hand-crafted wines. the environment is spacious and beautiful. Great for social distancing. Beautiful interiors as well.  Their wine selection is great , the tasting is not free so plan for that.

This is also a great place for any event or just a family and friends outing. All snacks welcomed and they have kebabs on sale as well , delicious. Their wine glasses are a must have for a small price you can get a case.

If you will like to take a two hour scenic drive in the Fall , then your best location winery will be Balic Winery in New Jersey. This is another exciting location for any occasion or just a day out with friends or your significant other. The highlight for me was the seats in the vineyard, very exquisite, made me feel like I was on vacation some where special. Unfortunately  the grapes were out of season during my visit but the tasting was free. They have a wide variety of wines to choose from and off course you can bring your own snacks
