Sunflowers as far as the natural eyes can, see is the only way I can adequately describe this experience.
The yellow from the flowers looked like sunshine on a beautiful morning. The flowers were in full bloom. A sight to behold will be another way. The McKee-Beshers fields are owned and maintained by the Maryland Department of Natural Resources-Wildlife and heritage.
I had no idea what sunflowers could be used for , other than beauty to the eyes. But I found out from the website and from visiting the fields , that they are used as food for mourning doves. Sunflowers and it’s seeds is also food for a host of other birds.
All things being equal , the flowers can be seen at full bloom in Mid-July having been planted in May.
I hope you enjoy the bright color and the peace it brings. For a life video of the fields please check out EC virtual travels on Youtube
