Travel satisfaction or lack thereof can be attributed to the mode of transportation , the weather , how the clouds look like , the terrain as you go along i on the road or rail. How about the landscape ? You can not imagine how much that makes or messes up your mode. Lets start a series where I talk about some of the things that contribute to my travel experience to and from a location.
- Trains and Trails

I’ll start with some memorable train rides . First up was arriving at the station in London to get on a Euro star train to Paris. Great experience it was. Check in and boarding was almost like getting on a plane. Security was efficient , people going up and down the station looking for their platforms. Funny thing , I did not realize I had a higher class ticket , must have been told but did not understand the system. Better yet, I knew nothing about the class differentiation on a train. Well I found out when I started to wonder why I was being served lunch ,alcoholic beverage and more. In my mind I knew this was the best train ride ever , why did I ever bother taking a flight just for peanuts and half glass soft drink , when I could get all this on a train. Long story short , I arrived Paris safely to a very crowded train station that I felt lost in, until my brother came to my rescue.
Next train ride was a speed train from Switzerland to Paris. Then another From Strasbourg France to Germany, this one had a full sit down restaurant on board , I got so entertained I missed my stop and went all the way to Belgium opppsssss. That’s a story for another time.
