“How could one connect with nature while protecting the Hualapai Nation, their culture and values which are deeply engraved in the canyon walls and proudly displayed for the world to see? ” hope you will explore the canyon through my eyes as well as soak in nature’s beauty at your pace. The Grand canyon can be experience from the sky, land and water. My Canyon experience started with an aerial view from my flight upon arrival in Las Vegas. It was spectacular , more than I had ever imagined. I had decided to spend my birthday in three different states. California, Las Vegas and Arizona. So the Canyon was a great start to my birthday adventures.
There is a lot to be said about this world wonder so am just going to give you some highlights and hope you can get more from the pictures and video.
- At the Grand Canyon West . you have the Skywalk which is the touristic highlight. I went on it and it was surreal . This was a spectacular artwork of Creation. The Skywalk is a 10-foot wide horse-shaped glass bridge that extends 70 feet out over the rim of the grand canyon. If you look down you can see right through the glass platform 4.000 feet to the floor of the canyon below
- The Eagle point is another exciting elevation for your viewing pleasure
- The Native American village told their story elaborately
- The Amphitheater is a great experience to explore
- Creations by native hands was fascinating . They also had a performance of native American music and culture.
- The Skywalk restaurant. Of course there had to be food. There is 30 mins wait to sit at the window table. But it was worth it cause the views are to die for. Just imagine eating and looking at the Gran Canyon , its almost unbelievable.
